It’s the middle of Summer and blazing hot\u00a0so I was happily surprised when\u00a0Pixi by Petra<\/a>\u00a0sent me three of their Sheer Cheek Gels along with three of their\u00a0GelTint & SilkGlosses.<\/p>\n

Typically, I’m not a minimalist when it comes to makeup but on\u00a0hot summer days, I ocassionally tone down my makeup application.<\/p>\n

Upon opening up the Sheer Cheek Gels, I found that they are thin in consistency but not runny. \u00a0They have no detectable scent, which is good for those of you that are sensitive to smells. \u00a0The\u00a0instructions on the back of the box read: “Sheer, long lasting, moisturizing cheek gel for a healthy natural look. \u00a0Apply to cheeks with fingertips or a sponge and blend well.”<\/p>\n

The three shades I received include, “Natural”, “Flushed”, and “Rosy”. \u00a0My favorite of the three is Rosy because it seems to have the most color payoff. \u00a0The cheek gels are buildable which is nice. \u00a0That prevents you from going overboard upon first application of the product. \u00a0The least pigmented of the three is “Natural”,\u00a0naturally lol. \u00a0They perform well on bare skin\u00a0and\u00a0I didn’t have any issues with them being patchy. \u00a0I used the duo-fiber Small\u00a0Stipple Brush<\/a>\u00a0by e.l.f.<\/a><\/p>\n

As you can see below, the shades are all very similar and are quite sheer as the name describes. \u00a0I feel that they are geared more toward, light to medium skin tones.<\/p>\n
